Seaside Auditorim / Chrysler Theatre

Chrysler Theatre, including Stage and Dressing Rooms. Over 7,100 square feet of space welcomes up to 550 guests in a theatre style seating arrangement, or banquets of up to 380 guests. A full-sized stage is available for theatre and other performing arts groups and features access to dressing rooms and washrooms.

Our state-of the-art commercial kitchen is large enough to accomodate large catering teams, or it can also be used for private use such as cooking classes.

There are two dressing rooms conveniently located adjacent to the stage, and feature a shower and washrooms with disability access.

The auditorium floor is a constructed with spring hardwood and marked for sporting activities such as badminton and pickleball.

Our in-house audio visual equipment includes a projector screen with ceiling mounted projector for presentations. Surround sound with the options for lapel, cordless, and headset microphones are also available.

The Nordheimer upright piano and Lowery organ are available at your convenience at no charge. The Lion’s Bar is conveniently located adjacent to the Seaside Auditorium.

Private Events & Special Occasion Banquets

The Seaside Auditorium is an exceptional venue for memorable weddings, private banquets and other private events and special occasions.  Our high ceilings with rafters to accommodate draped ceiling fabric add that special touch of elegance and feeling of spaciousness.  The layout provides  endless options for your special decor and lighting ideas.

Trade Shows & Conferences

The Parksville Community Centre is the perfect venue for smaller conferences and trade shows, exhibits or fairs.

The Seaside auditorium can accommodate 550 people theatre style. Trade show capacities are dependent on your floor plan, but generally we can accommodate up to 44 table exhibits with skirting and 55 without.

The lobby and additional breakout space provide additional flex space to accommodate a range of hosting and networking options for your event.

Indoor Sports & Recreation

The Seaside Auditorium features a beautiful hardwood spring floor that is marked for a range of indoor sporting events. Some popular events hosted here include pickleball, badminton and yoga.  We have also seen line dancing and belly dancers groups. Our adjacent change room and shower provide the perfect setting for your next sport and recreation group event.

Performing Arts & Cultural Events

From theatre and dance to concerts and recitals, the Parksville Community Centre is the exciting venue needed for your next performance.

Our expansive dressing rooms are located directly adjacent to our stage and feature excellent lighting for makeup and plenty of room for everyone in your cast.

Our facility also comes fully equipped with an impressive in-house sound and lighting system, however, we are happy to refer you to our professional AV partner should you require use of lighting and sound technology.
